Beyond lower limb ulcers: surgical debridement
and skin grafting

Kerraboot has been shown to stabilise the clinical condition of certain foot ulcers prior to skin grafting procedures. It can be used to soften tissue prior to surgical debridement and to rapidly promote the formation of a healthy granulation tissue base after the procedure. Once this vascular base is established, Kerraboot allows very prompt skin grafting to occur, which is the most rapid way of achieving ulcer healing and can save many weeks of healing time and reduce hospital stay considerably.
